In this one-time social course, students will have the opportunity to explore pieces of music that explore different emotions and share the music that means the most to them.

Is the music you listen to exciting, calming, happy, sad, motivating? Does it fuel creativity or aide in relaxation? In this live class, the teacher will offer guidance in exploring the emotional themes of music. Using pieces the teacher offers, students will write about their experience in listening to the piece and then share with the teacher and other students. Students will learn to use music in their daily lives to aid in emotional well-being.
Students should have something to write with, preferably a physical pen and paper (or journal), but an electronic writing program can be used as well.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
