Description
Class Experience
Learners will learn about different book genres and hopefully discover books of genres they never thought they would like.
The book of the week should be read before class meets.
Please bring the book you have read to class in case you have reference it.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
***I encourage parents to read the descriptions of the books that their learners have chosen to make sure that the material is appropriate for their child to read. Several of the books deal with sensitive situations such as murder (The Scandalous Sisterhood of Prickwillow Place), magic (Sorcery of Thorns), and death (The Stars Beneath Our Feet). If you would like another option for any of the genres, please reach out and ask, I am always willing to find the right book for the learners I work with.
