Description

Class Experience

Using colorful slides, animal facts, questions and answers, moving like animals, and games like I Spy, we will learn about the lives of animals living in Winter conditions.
At the end of each class I offer an optional sharing time, both to build community and to allow practice with presenting and sharing with others.
Week 1 (12/27/21): We will learn how animals prepare for Winter.
Week 2 ( 01/03/22): We will learn about migrating animals.
Week 3 (01/10/22): We will learn about...

Animal-loving students will explore different types of Winter animals while learning about their diets, adaptations and habitats. 
Students will use their visual and auditory skills, as well as patience and social skills to find out the answers to questions presented during each class while taking turns and helping each other.  We have fun moving like animals and I may create songs to help us learn and remember.  We will also include simple games to reinforce concepts presented.

I have been a 3-6 Montessori lead teacher for 23 years and we explored all different kinds of animals and how they lived.  I love to bring song, movement and fun to my classes whenever I can.

None required, but optional worksheets will be provided to accompany each class.

Optional worksheets will be provided before class time.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Informal assessment with questions and answers and games.
