Class Experience

This course is designed for the bilingual student to continue learning Spanish through fun content! Each class will be focused on one theme. Each class will have games incorporated as well!
Day 1. Trabalenguas: Student will learn tongue twisters in Spanish and through exploring these, expand their Spanish vocabulary. 
            Adivinanzas: Student will learn riddles in Spanish and through exploring these, expand their Spanish vocabulary.
 There will be PowerPoint presentation on a variety of tongue twisters and riddles from which the student will pick their favorite ones.
Day 2. Chistes: Student will learn silly jokes in Spanish and through exploring these, expand their vocabulary.
            Student will explore their favorite topic of the course, create their own tongue twister, joke, and/or riddle  to continue practicing and playing.

Student will be able to:
a. Use tongue twisters, riddles, and jokes to practice and expand their Spanish.
b. Expand their creativity through creating their own tongue twister, joke, and/or riddle in Spanish.

Creative Writing for the Young Bilingual in Spanish

When in doubt about your student's Spanish abilities, please refer to the following general guidelines for my classes. Students do not have to meet all criteria listed.

Beginner=> Student is:
                          -Beginning to learn Spanish 
                          -Building vocabulary or already knowing some 
                          - Wanting to learn Spanish and/or is too shy to speak it

Intermediate => Student is:
                         -Continuing to build vocabulary
                         - Able to greet and introduce themselves
                         - Able to count to 100 or more
                         - Beginning or already feels confident when speaking in Spanish

Advanced => Student is:
                         - Fully bilingual = Able to understand, speak, read, and write equally in Spanish 
                                                      and another language.
                         - Native speaker of Spanish who wants to continue to learn content in Spanish
