Designed for young artists and tech enthusiasts, this course invites students to explore the intersection of art and artificial intelligence, unlocking endless possibilities for creative expression.
In this hands-on and interactive class, students will:
Discover the Basics of AI Art:
• Gain a foundational understanding of artificial intelligence and its role in the creation of digital art, using Stable Diffusion and DreamStudio.
• Explore various AI-powered art techniques, such as style transfer, generative art, and neural networks.
• Learn how to write effective text prompts - which keywords to include, and which ones to make the AI exclude - to get the most out of each round of generations.
• Engage in exciting, practical projects that allow students to experiment with AI tools and create unique artworks.
• Develop skills in using popular AI art platforms and software to bring their creative visions to life.
Showcase and Share:
• Collaborate with peers to showcase and share your AI-generated artworks, fostering a supportive and creative online community.
• Receive constructive feedback and insights from the instructor and fellow students to enhance artistic skills and techniques.
Inspiration from AI Artists:
• Discover the works of established AI artists and draw inspiration from their cutting-edge creations.
• Discuss the evolving role of AI in the art industry and its potential for pushing the boundaries of traditional artistic practices.

Throughout this course, students will not only gain a deeper understanding of the marriage between AI and art but also a portfolio of their very own AI-generated masterpieces. Join us on this exciting journey where imagination meets technology, and creativity knows no bounds!Learning Goals
Students will learn to use Stable Diffusion (a text-to-art model) in its simplified DreamStudio form, how best to adjust settings like seeds and generation steps, and how to write text prompts and keywords that will get the best results.
We will also sometimes touch on slightly more advanced steps outside of DreamStudio, like how to add different Stable Diffusion models and LoRAs (Low-Rank Adaptations).
