* To help accommodate many families, this class is scheduled to meet either once a week for 3 weeks or for 3 days in one week. Choose whichever format which works best for you :) Do you want to learn more about legendary abandoned towns of the American West (the western part of the United States)? Do you want to know why many people call them ghost towns? Do you want to know more about why people settled in these towns and then later abandoned them? In each class we will explore...
Learners will learn what a "ghost town" is, the history and geography of many ghost towns in the American West as well as an opportunity to tap into their imagination of what America's past may have been like.
I have been exploring ghost towns of the old west with my family since before I could walk. The history of them has always fascinated me. I currently live on what some would consider a "ghost town" of the old American west. I live near many old mining towns which I have explored and researched greatly. My love for history has led me to learn as much as I possibly can about these abandoned towns. I will be sharing all of that information with my learners plus, much more about different ghost towns of the American west :).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The topic of "Ghosts" will NOT be discussed in this class.
