Description
Class Experience
Students will learn Spanish vocabulary and use it in a meaningful context. The crafts students create will further cement their retention of the animal vocabulary words. Students will also learn scientific facts about each animal of the day. Meaningful contexts are key to second language acquisition!
RaShae Smith is a Texas certified educator in Spanish, art, and EC-6 with a bachelor's degree from Lubbock Christian University. She has taught Spanish to young children at her in home preschool Libelula Spanish School for 5 years before adding online classes as well through the Outschool platform. As a non-native speaker, she demonstrates to all of her students that Spanish classes work and anyone can learn a second language! She is raising her own 3 children to be bilingual and hopes they love Spanish as much as she does.

We will be reading a variety of books, none of which students will need to join this camp. We will use Youtube for the animal videos.
