Get ready for a highlight tour of Yellowstone National Park. We will make stops at a handful of areas of interest within America's first national park. Using pictures taken during my trip to Yellowstone, we'll discuss some of the features of the park. Subjects to be discussed include: 1) The beginning of Yellowstone as a national park. 2) Thermal features, Yellowstone Lake and Lodge, Hayden Valley, and Yellowstone Falls. 3) The impact of wildfires on the park and the plan to combat them. 4) Select wildlife in the park, including bison, elk, and pronghorn. This class will be highly engaging with students participating throughout.
