Class Experience
In this class, we will focus on writing a sentence. This is not a handwriting class. Students must be able to identify and form letters on their own. Prerequisites: Students enrolled in this class should be able to demonstrate the following: A) Write legibly on paper or a white board or type on a computer, so they can participate in the learning activity. B) Be able to identify what a word is. C) Write words with spelling assistance if needed. B) Have sufficient vocabulary to add...
This class is taught in English.
Students will identify the parts of a sentence- Capital letters at the beginning of a sentence/ a subject / a verb/ and punctuation at the end of the sentence. Students will practice writing sentences about animals through guided practice.
I have been teaching young learners for more than forty years in both formal and informal settings. I especially enjoy helping children develop their reading and writing skills. I have a degree in Elementary education with graduate work in early child development and learning.
No Homework as this is a one-time class.
Black or brown marker or crayon, white board or paper.
Assessment is determined through class participation and completed sentences.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
