In this one time class, students will learn about the senses as we take chances and make mistakes with Mrs. Frizzle and the Magic School Bus.
Class Experience
Beginning with story time, I will read "The Magic School Bus: Explores the Senses" by Scholastic Productions. Then with a video clip from Pete the Cat, we will examine the science of the senses. We will discuss what the senses are and why they are important to our world. The students will then create sensory cloud dough. Any necessary PDFs will be provided before class. Hello from Texas! Although I am currently residing in Texas, we move quite often and that has allowed me to have many different types of career experiences. I have tutored privately and through well-known organizations; taught in the public school classroom setting with a self-contained classroom (including 4th grade and Texas History); substituted and interned in private school classroom settings; instructed at the community college level (History); assisted with museum operations; and homeschooled my three munchkins. I have worked with early education all the way up to the community college level. My Bachelors is in childhood education with a Master's in American History.
