Class Experience

Come talk about winter things in Spanish!  We will practice vocabulary to describe winter activities, winter clothing, and winter animals.   We will have fun by singing, playing games, mini-role play scenes, and sharing our opinions on winter activities. 


Class 1:  
I know frequently used classroom phrases.
I can sing a song about winter weather.  
I can describe winter weather.  
I can say: “I’m cold.” and "I'm not cold."
I can name various winter animals.  (el oso polar, el pingüino, el lobo, el búho, el zorro, el reno)

Class 2:
I can sing a song about winter weather.  
I can say how winter animals feel.
I can say if I like/love/dislike winter animals.
I can describe winter animals. (colors, size)

Class 3:
I can sing a song about winter weather.
I can say if I like/love/dislike winter animals.
I can count winter animals.  (practice numbers to 20)
I can say how winter animals move. (nadar, caminar, correr, volar, bailar, saltar)

Class 4:
I can have a mini-conversation.  (Review some winter activities from Part 1)
I can talk about winter animals.  (size, color, how they move)
I can play games to review my learning!

Learning Goals

Students will learn basic Spanish speaking skills and foster excitement for language learning!  We will be silly and have fun with this seasonal Spanish class.  See the class "I can statements" for specific content that will be learned in the class.
