55 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Beginning with story time, I will read "The Magic School Bus: Inside the Earth" by Joanna Cole. Then with a video clip from Dr. Binoc, we will examine the layers of the earth and the rock cycle. We will discuss what the rock cycle is and why is it important to our world. The students will then create a diagram of the layers of the earth and the rock cycle. Any necessary PDFs will be provided before class. Finally, I will provide some enrichment activities for after class to continue the study of rocks. This class is a great introduction into inside the earth, or a good review, for anyone who needs it.

Hello from Texas! Although I am currently residing in Texas, we move quite often and that has allowed me to have many different types of career experiences. I have tutored privately and through well-known organizations; taught in the public school classroom setting with a self-contained classroom (including 4th grade and Texas History); substituted and interned in private school classroom settings; instructed at the community college level (History); assisted with museum operations; and homeschooled my three munchkins. I have worked with early education all the way up to the community college level. My Bachelors is in childhood education with a Master's in American History.
