Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 4
Intermediate Level
Description:

This Flex Course is tailored for CE1-CE2 (Grade 2 and 3) students or fluent French speakers. Each week, students will delve into the art of reading comprehension in French, enhancing their ability to extract relevant information using WH questions. We'll explore a series of my original short stories, each ranging between 100 and 150 words. This course is not designed to teach basic reading skills but to enhance existing proficiency in French reading.

Prerequisites:
Participants should be capable of reading a 100-word text in French independently before enrolling. If this is not yet achievable, please consider our beginner's course: Reading in French for Beginners Basics - Flex Course.

Course Structure:

Weekly Video Lessons: I will provide a video recording each week where I read the story aloud, explain the comprehension task, and share strategies to improve reading skills.
Interactive Forums: Students will receive weekly assessments through our classroom forum, including PDFs of the reading material and a video explanation of the correct answers to foster self-learning.

Biweekly Challenges: Engage in biweekly reading comprehension challenges to find specific story elements or word meanings, encouraging peer interaction and feedback.

Evaluation:
While the course promotes self-learning with no live sessions, personalized feedback will be provided for the seventh week's comprehension practice. Students will submit their responses for individual review, fostering a deeper understanding of reading comprehension.

Special Editions:

Summer Flex Course: A condensed 4-week program with two reading practices per week.
Holiday Flex Course: A festive 4-week program with two reading practices per week, perfect for holiday learning.

Materials Provided:

Upon registration, you'll gain access to an exclusive learning kit and activity book available in our classroom forum. These resources, along with my recordings and videos, will support your child’s reading journey even beyond our classes.
