Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Skills Practiced in this class include but are not limited to: -Oral expression and comprehension - The interconnected nature of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and thinking - Developing and sustaining foundational language skills -Inquiry -Critical thinking and analysis -Literacy -Building connections to prior knowledge -Creating relationships among ideas
This class presents an objective and historical view of the history and hauntings discussed. To help us remain objective and accurate, stories have been gathered from sources directly related to the country/geographic area of origin, if not the official website of the haunted place itself. I have a Bachelor of Art in Maritime Studies with a focus in anthropology. Anthropology is the objective study of cultures and how societies live(d) and interact(ed). I also have a minor in anthropology focusing on ancient civilizations (Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, and Rome) as well as more "recent" civilizations including the Mayans, Aztecs, and other Native American societies.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance is always suggested. Some of the stories may be scary to young learners. Some of the backstories for the hauntings mention murder and all mention death.
