This course was originally created to learn about the Winter Olympics. It has been modified to discuss winter sports in general. When the Winter Olympics return in 2026 hosted in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, this course will again focus on the Olympic games. 

Originally designed to explore the Winter Olympics, this course has been adapted to delve into the fascinating world of winter sports as a whole. As we eagerly await the return of the Winter Olympics in 2026, hosted in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, our focus will once again center on the thrilling Olympic games.

Structured with precision, the course utilizes visual prompts, repeated practice opportunities, and differentiated scaffolding to ensure optimal learning experiences for all students. Powered by Nearpod, a free resource for students, my classes offer a multitude of ways for students to demonstrate their learning. Whether through verbal communication, written responses, or creative drawings, students will have various interactive avenues during class. Each topic concludes with a comprehensive summary of the acquired knowledge.

Let's take a glimpse at our captivating course content:

Week 1: Unveiling the Olympics - Craft (Create Olympic Rings, Craft an Olive Branch Crown)
Week 2: Alpine Sports - Explore Snowboarding, Alpine Skiing, and Ski Jumping; Craft (Design and Decorate Snow Goggles)
Week 3: Skating Sports - Dive into Figure Skating, Ice Dancing, Speed Skating, and Ice Hockey; Craft (Engage in Coloring Pages and Mazes)
Week 4: Team Sports - Embrace Curling and Bobsleigh; Craft and Activity (Immerse in Coloring Pages and Word Search)

To fully engage with the course, students will require some common supplies such as colored paper, crayons or colored pencils, glue, and scissors.
