Informal assessment: observation of Art piece.Class Experience
Students will learn art appreciation through a brief discussion of Pablo Picasso's timeline and then a focus on his Cubism period. Students will create a portrait in the style of cubism. Students will interact with the teacher and others students. The teacher will use guided instruction and modeling to teach students how to draw a portrait in the style of Cubism. Topics to be covered are: Picasso, Cubism, and Portraits. Students do not need to have any prior art knowledge or experience to take this class. If this class interests your learner please sign up for the class. I'll take the slot and teach even if it's just one learner. I am excited to meet your learner!
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of Cubism through art appreciation. Students will learn about the art of the Cubism art period. Students will engage in a better understanding of Cubism by making a portrait in the style of Picasso.
