In this one time class, students will learn about animal habitats as we take chances and make mistakes with Mrs. Frizzle and the Magic School Bus.
Class Experience
Beginning with story time, I will read "The Magic School Bus Hops Home: A Book About Animal Habitats" by Scholastic Productions. Then with a video clip from Dr. Binoc, we will examine the science of habitats. We will discuss what a food chain is and why is it important to a habitat. The students will then create a picture of their animal and its habitat. Hello from Texas! Although I am currently residing in Texas, we move quite often and that has allowed me to have many different types of career experiences. I have tutored privately and through well-known organizations; taught in the public school classroom setting with a self-contained classroom (including 4th grade and Texas History); substituted and interned in private school classroom settings; instructed at the community college level (History); assisted with museum operations; and homeschooled my three munchkins. I have worked with early education all the way up to the community college level. My Bachelors is in childhood education with a Master's in American History.
