Welcome to Explore All 50 States! Be prepared for some Geography Fun! In each lesson, we will learn fun facts about each state. We will start out each class introducing the state. As a class, we will fill out a worksheet provided each week to include: State Bird, Motto, Nickname, Tree, Flower Mammal, Fish, and Insect!! We will find and fill out the State Capital, State Flag, and any other fun facts! Learners will share if they live in the state of the day and if they have visited. They will have the opportunity to print a copy of a blank map that will be uploaded to the classroom. We will color in and fill in each state as we work on it, as well as fill in the information mentioned above. Week of 10/2: Alabama & Alaska Week of 10/9: Arizona & Arkansas Week of 10/16: California & Colorado Week of 10/23: Connecticut & Delaware Week of 11/6: Florida & Georgia Week of 11/13: Hawaii & Idaho Week of 11/20: Illinois & Indiana Week of 11/27: Iowa & Kansas Week of 12/4: Kentucky & Louisiana Week of 12/11: Maine & Maryland Week of 12/18: Massachusetts & Michigan Week of 1/8: Minnesota & Mississippi Week of 1/15: Missouri & Montana Week of 1/22: Nebraska & Nevada Week of 1/29: New Hampshire & New Jersey Week of 2/5: New Mexico & New York Week of 2/12: North Carolina & North Dakota Week of 2/19: Ohio & Oklahoma Week of 2/26: Oregon & Pennsylvania Week of 3/4: Rhode Island & South Carolina Week of 3/11: South Dakota & Tennessee Week of 3/18: Texas & Utah Week of 3/25: Vermont & Virginia Week of 4/1: Washington & West Virginia Week of 4/8: Wisconsin & Wyoming Week of 4/15: Washington D.C. Week of 4/22: U.S Territories At the end of the class, learners will share which state they were most interested in and why. Each learner will have the opportunity to find other information and share with the class if they so choose. We will learn about all 50 states in an interactive and hands on manner to fulfill all learning styles of each individual student. Worksheets will be uploaded into the classroom and act as a great supplement for homeschooling portfolios. Students may use the printouts uploaded by the teacher in the classroom. There will be ample time provided in the classroom chat to inform parents and learners what will be required for the following week. This is an inclusive class in which students of all ages (8-18) and abilities are welcome. If a student is unable to communicate verbally they are welcome to use the chat. If your student has any other needs that require accommodations please let me know and we will work develop a way for your learner to participate in a way that they are able. This ongoing class meets each week, without a set end date. You may end your subscription or rejoin at any time!

Mrs. V is a homeschooling mom who has a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management and Communications. I have experience working in a preschool, as well as elementary and middle school aged students in a school setting and as a tutor.
