Description
Class Experience
In this one-time class, the engaging Story Fairy will take your little Story Explorer on an imaginative, interactive adventure to explore a pretend animal park. We'll have fun guessing and then becoming lots of different animals, and even look at a few facts about life in an animal park, like why you will only find koalas in a handful of places outside their native country Australia and why elephants like mud. Great to try out animal names, introduce an animal topic, or a fun way to...
This class is taught in English.
This is a fun way to start to introduce some simple acting skills and key concepts like building confidence and self-esteem, introducing gross and fine motor skills, and dropping in key elements along the way.
I am a fully qualified teacher (BAPA, PGCE) with 16+ years of experience teaching Drama (and some Music, PSHCE, and English) to 11 to 15 years olds and Performing Arts to 16 to 18 year olds in bricks and mortar schools, where I currently still teach part-time, including running small group and 1:1 confidence building workshops. I also have many years of experience leading community workshop schemes (like create a play in a week) and local drama groups for ages 4 to 16. As a professional actress, I've performed to children from ages 2-14 in theatres, arts centres, social clubs, historical properties, nurseries, and schools. Playing roles such as the Gingerbread man and a tortoise, to a wartime headmistress and Queen Elizabeth the first! With lots of Q & A and interactive workshops along the way. I then branched into presenting (live, events, radio, some TV, and for holiday companies across Europe) including some Voiceover work. I currently create and present drama and presenter tuition videos and have a regular podcast. I have produced and directed many productions (musicals and plays) as well, including some I have written myself. Currently I present weekly in person music, movement and sensory classes for under 5s and their parents as well. I am a Mummy of two young kids myself too and in fact, that is how the 'Story Fairy' was born!
20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This is an active class so please make sure your learner is dressed so they can move around comfortably (even if that is in their chosen costume), make sure they also have adequate space where they won't bump into anything, and a drink nearby in case they need it.
