In this 4-week flex class, we will be exploring different painting methods while creating our own works of art each week. No experience needed, just come on in and get your paint on!
Class experience
Welcome to Exploration in Painting (FLEX) class! In this 4-week course, we will be opening our creative minds to the different techniques and mediums used in painting. Once a week, I will upload a new video project and supply list for students to work on at their own pace. Please be sure that all work is "handed" in by the last day of the course. Please, take your time to explore the work and paint at your own pace. We do NOT meet live. Instead, we will correspond through videos and...
Students will get their creative juices flowing and learn multiple ways to create a painting using multiple tools. They will also practice their accountability, time management, and organizational skills.
Each week, I will upload the supply list for each project along with the project video.
*Every week you will need these things:
-Jar of Water
-Table covering
-Smock
-Paintbrushes of varying sizes
-Canvas board
-Towel
*Week-by-week material list
Week 1: Resist painting
-Wide painter's tape (the kind you get at the hardware store for home painting projects)
-Paintbrush (flat top)
-Acrylic paint (Dark Blue, Light Blue, Purple, Dark Green, Light Green, Yellow, Red, Orange)
-Canvas Board
Week 2: Tape on Canvas Abstract
-Thinner painter's tape
- Acrylic paint (multiple colors of your choosing)
-Canvas Board
-Paintbrushes
Week 3: Autumn Treescape
-Acrylic paint (Black, White, Red, Yellow, Orange)
-Q-tips (multiple)
