Class experience
In this fun and exciting STEAM class, children will learn to draw a seasonal picture and create an explosion! INTRO: We will review the classroom rules and children will introduce themselves. They can share talk briefly about their favorite thing to do in the season. CONTENT: First, children will draw a snowman picture. **Parents, children will be using permanent markers for this portion, so please be aware and supervise as needed.** Next, children will hypothesize what will happen when we...
Students will practice hypothesizing and experimenting in this course. They will also practice following step by step instructions.
• A sandwich size disposable Ziplock (or other brand) bag **the slider kind does not work well, a seal top bag is best • Permanent markers (black, orange, and a color of their choosing) *We can make whatever colors you have work! • Baking soda (about 2 tablespoons) • Vinegar (about 2 cups) • Paper towel • A cake pan or bowl to put the explosion in (so it doesn't go all over your counters or floors!)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Parents may need to supervise their children during this experiment. Children will be making an explosion, and they will most likely need help closing their bag. They will also be using permanent markers.
