Class Experience

This class is an interactive, discussion based introductory class that discusses the topics related to race, diversity, prejudice, racism, and inequality. The class will focus on the positives of embracing diversity and advocating for equality. This class is specifically geared for 5 to 9 year old students. The material discussed will be developmentally appropriate and will be more of an introduction to the topics and opportunity for guided and open ended discussion rather than an in depth...

I hold a graduate degree in the field of School Psychology. I have experience working with students in a variety of settings. I enjoy teaching topics related to social issues, behavior, and emotional wellbeing.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

This class will touch on issues related to race, inequality, and oppression. It will include brief discussion into recent and past events in the U.S. and globally.
