Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
As adventure seekers our host has crash landed our plane into the heart of the Rocky Mountains. You must take three items with you to survive the next few days before rescue arrives.

Through cooperative game play, students will learn about the natural environment of the Rocky Mountains, the animals that inhabit this area and learn both social and survival skills to stay alive. Through role-play, quests and crafting skills students will learn how to work together to find drinkable water, make adequate shelter, and use everyday items to survive in this harsh environment. They will observe and encounter both friendly and not-so-friendly animals and learn how to interact with each in a wild landscape.

Meanwhile, students will document their journey using the exclusive Expedition Journal to make notes, track inventory, and draw animals.

Through a basic point system, students are evaluated on how well they did, both individually and as a group. Everyone will survive, but some will survive a little more comfortable than the rest. The team points will be logged for future reference on how well they did compared to other teams.
