Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will improve their understanding of how Dungeons and Dragons works. Students will learn how playing D&D can help improve aspects of their like such as communication skills, impromptu decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Students will continue to develop their creativity and imagination as the D&D world is very imaginative and creative.
There won't be any homework assigned as this is a long-term game, but there will be moments where their characters will level up throughout the campaign, in which I will instruct how they can level up their characters and what to take into consideration. Mostly this will be done between sessions, in which the learner has one week to do this activity.
Learners will need to have a level 4 character to participate in this campaign. They can have their characters made on D&D Beyond or paper copy. I also recommend that learners have a notebook or some way to take notes as the story/adventure progresses. D&D dice is also a benefit for your learner to participate fully, but if not possible, there are online dice rollers that I can provide in our first session.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
In Dungeons and Dragons, violence does tend to be part of the game, especially if your child's character likes to fight or slay evil monsters. This will be toned down and not described in too much detail, but it will be present throughout.
All sources for this teaching campaign will be created and made by myself, so there will not be any other sources required for the class as I will provide what is needed.
