US Grade Kindergarten - 1
In this introductory class, learners will start by thinking critically about the animals around them. This base will be built upon to understand the concept of classification, as it relates to objects and living things. The lesson will move on to a detailed discussion about the similarities and differences of some common animals, so that they will understand why an insect is an insect. Learners will be able to differentiate insects from spiders and other arthropods with follow up activities....
- Students will be able to define and identify an insect. Students will be able to organize objects based off of their similarities and differences. Students will also be able to explain why other animals are not insects.
