A large portion of the questions in the SAT Writing & Language/ACT English sections deal with punctuation. Knowing the punctuation rules that will be tested, how to apply the rules, and how to identify a punctuation question is critical to success in the Writing & Language/English section. Session 1: Basic approach for punctuation questions Identifying complete and incomplete phrases/clauses Connecting complete and incomplete phrases/clauses Session 2: Apostrophes Questions testing words and punctuation Putting it all together Utilizing official SAT/ACT materials that the student will be provided in .pdf format and will be displayed on-screen in the session, we will walk step by step through the SAT Writing & Language/ACT English questions. I will model the process for the students and then they will be asked to demonstrate the process to ensure comprehension. Homework between sessions will reinforce these processes and give the students an opportunity to practice on their own. Additional practice can be requested following the final session. Students (parents) can request a recommended practice schedule based on each student's testing timeline.
