* How to format cells to change their appearance as needed.
* Some commonly used functions, including their utility and syntax.
I am an external financial auditor for Ernst & Young and have used spreadsheets, either professionally, personally or academically, for over 8 years. In addition to my masters in accountancy, I minored in business information systems at Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Business.

There will not be any assessments related to this course.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be using the online resource Google Sheets during class. I will be sharing my screen during class to demonstrate different techniques, but I will also invite students to follow along using their own Google Sheets account. Accessing Google Sheets is free, and simply requires a Gmail account.

Additionally, I will be showing screenshots of Microsoft Excel to show students the layout of Excel in contrast to Google Sheets.
