US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
In this interactive class, we will explore all the basics of dinosaurs. Who are the people that study and explore the historical world of dinosaurs. Who are Paleontologists? What exactly does a Paleontologist do? Where did the dinosaurs live? What did they eat? What is a herbivore, omnivore, and carnivore? Why did T-Rex have really bad breath? And most importantly, where did all the dinosaurs go? Or, where do we think they went? The learner is welcome and encouraged to bring their favorite dinosaur to class to share, but they don't have to. They are always welcome to sit and watch, and learn from others. While this class will be highly informative, the student will be learning in a fun and interactive environment, engaging in discussions, listening to others, and asking questions. Class will be centered around a visual slide presentation to help the learners visualize what life was like when these mammoth creatures roamed the earth. Hop on the dinosaur train, for a thrill ride back in time. Siblings: Siblings and/or co-learners must be enrolled in class to participate. Thank you for helping me keep my class sizes small for paid learners. Mute: My classes are very interactive, so I prefer to keep children off mute, when possible. There are times I may have to utilize the mute function, as a lot of background noise makes it hard for me and other learners to hear. If so, no worries. They can remove it to speak. Parents, feel free to use mute, as needed. Raising Hands: My one special rule is to raise your hand to speak. I have a couple ways that I make this really fun, and they all seem to do it quite well. No worries if they are still working on this. School is for teaching, and I will teach it to them in a fun way. Refunds: I follow Outschool's Limited Refund Policy. This can be viewed on their website.
Learning Goals
Students will discover how we continuously are learning about the dinosaurs, and what it takes to become an archeologist or paleontologist. Students will learn what dinosaurs ate, where they lived, and what we think may have lead up to their extinction.
