Bonjour mes amis! As our most elegant friends know, everything sounds fancy in French! In this class our fancy friends will learn simple French greetings, introductions, how to say please and thank you and how to respond to simple yes or no questions. At the end of class we will put our French skills into practice with a French goûter - a French tea party! Students will have opportunities to practice their new French skills with the teacher and their classmates as they introduce themselves and discuss what they would like with their tea. Learners are invited to bring a cup of tea (real or pretend!) to class for our tea party! Fancy dress fit for a tea party is encouraged! *Please note* This class is for 7-9 year old beginners. Learning Goals
Students will learn the following French vocabulary and phrases:
- Bonjour/Au revoir
- Je m'appelle____
- S'il vous plait/Merci
- Oui/non
We will also discuss the French words for the different foods and drinks at our tea party!
