Description
Class Experience
In this ongoing course, students will meet twice a week for 45 minutes. During each class, students will learn and review strategies for adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions. All lessons will be based on Common Core 5th grade math standards. This class can be used as a homeschool aid, remote learning supplement, or review. We will review the following fraction skills: Week of June 6: fractions on a number line, comparing and ordering fractions, adding and subtracting...
Students will improve their understanding of adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing proper fractions, improper fractions and mixed numbers.
With 7 years of hands-on teaching experience and the talent to effectively inspire students to engage in the learning process and embrace challenges, I am confident in my ability to increase your child's math confidence. I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching specializing in Reading and Language Arts, a Bachelor’s Degree in Education specializing in Integrated Sciences, and hold elementary teaching credentials for Michigan, Illinois, and Colorado. I have taught for a total of 7 years in a traditional Brick and Mortar classroom. I also have years of experience teaching online.
For homework students have the option of completing additional practice problems.
Students should come prepared with a notebook for scratch paper and a pencil.
