Class Experience

In this FLEX course, there is no live instruction. The material will be posted weekly and you can view it during the week at your convenience. All weekly course work will be due at the end of the week - Sunday. The class will include multiple interactive activities (in the Outschool classroom). After completing the lesson, students will complete practice questions in Jamboard, Google forms, Google slides, and Pear Deck. Throughout this course, learners will get practice with: 
- place value, how to read the decimals correctly, and rounding.
- comparing (greater, less, or equal to) and sort in ascending to descending.
- add, subtract, multiply and divide decimals. 
- solve word problems

There will be practice problems assigned outside of the video lessons.

Paper and pencil; a whiteboard and expo, if you prefer.

Google Jamboard
Youtube
Google Forms

No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.

Third-party apps and websites may be used as part of this class. Students may need to log in and/or create accounts to use those applications/websites.  Practice problems and activities will be posted in Jamboard, Google Forms, Pear Deck. Any links and codes used will be shared with the families/students only in the Outschool Classroom. Video lessons will be posted on YouTube with a safe link in the Outschool Classroom.
