Class Experience

***This is an ONGOING class. It meets every week and you will be billed each week unless you unenroll your learner.***

In this subscription class students will draw three doodle kids every week focusing on using lines and shapes to create basic doodles that show gesture and movement. They may use colored pencils or crayons to color their doodles.

Students will make sure all supplies that are needed are within their reach. Students will follow the step by step demonstration shown by the teacher and raise their hand to ask for help or a question. The teacher will check in with the students after each step to make sure no one gets left behind. Students will begin by following the teacher's demonstration of drawing each of the doodle kids. Students will then outline the doodle kids using an extra fine tip Sharpie (or extra fine permanent pen). Finally, we will add color to our doodle kids using either crayons or colored pencils. Students will have the opportunity to share their doodles at the end of class.

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a former K-12 Art Teacher who loves to teach drawing, painting, weaving, ceramics/pottery, and paper crafts.

I enjoy sharing my skills with children of various ages and watch their amazement at what they CAN accomplish.

Many students (and adults) feel they are not very good at art. I break down my lessons into small steps for anyone to create a masterpiece!

I love to read, sew, and create art with my 10 year old daughter!
