Description
Class Experience
If you've ever heard of essential oils or used them, you may think that they're a new trend! But, essential oils have been used by many cultures around the world for thousands of years! In this one-time class, students will learn about the cultural and historical uses of essential oils by the Egyptians, the Israelites, the Romans, the Chinese and more! Students will be able to identify the following oils (describing their smell, the plant source and what the cultures primarily used them...
Students will improve their understanding of the historical usage of essential oils. Students will be able to describe the oils and define what they look and smell like as well as what certain cultures used them for.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will not be given a link to the google slide show-it will be shown on the instructor screen only. Students will be given a link to play the kahoot game. No log-in or account is required, students will simply enter a code in their browser so they can select the correct answer. Students may also choose to play along without going to the Kahoot site and simply answer the questions via the chatbox or on a piece of paper.
