Description
Class Experience
This class is a comprehensive fractions course. It can be used to review missed concepts from elementary school or for preparation to enter a pre-algebra course. Learners do not need to have background knowledge in fractions, but should know their multiplication and division facts well before starting this class. Students will understand fraction concepts and be able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division on fractions and mixed numbers.
Learners will complete assignments in Khan Academy outside of our class meetings for extra practice on the topics covered. 5 practice worksheets will also be provided during the course.
Students should have a notebook and something to write with.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students may take an optional unit test in Khan Academy upon completion of the class.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
