You will be able to: Week 1: 1. Know how to ask questions about a temple and understand them 2. Know what to do at temples 3. Know what to do at a Shrine 4. Know how to ask questions about a shrine and understand them Week 2: 1. Know how to tell a restaurant you are waiting for someone 2. Know how to tell the person you are looking around for your friend 3. Know how to tell a waiter they brought the wrong food 4. Know how to tell the waiter you had more food Week 3: 1. Know how to tell someone you forgot an item on a train 2. Find out about specialty souvenirs in different prefectures Week 4: 1. Know how to respond and act when going to someone's house in Japan 2. Know how to split a credit card into different payments 3. Know how to make change (from bigger bills to smaller bills) Week 5: 1. Know how to buy a phone card and where to find payphones 2. I received my undergraduate degree in the Japanese language, culture, and history. I also earned my Master's degree in K-12 education. I studied abroad at Nihon University in Tokyo as well as worked as an English teacher in Niigata, Japan. I was able to see what I learned firsthand
Homework Offered
Students will be given worksheets to print out after the class to reinforce their learning. Because this class meets weekly, this is optional. The student has the choice to send their homework to me to look over if they want to. They will get a vocabulary list that goes over everything they have studied.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
