Class experience
I bring you the third installment of Essential Japanese for travel, something that will not only build your confidence but will also give you the thought process and understanding of the Japanese language and culture. Even though I had visited Japan and knew many of the words, I didn't know that some of these words can have several different meanings. I had used one word, instead of the correct one. A. Get out of Jams
1. Asking if English is okay/Asking if they can speak English
2. Asking if a train or bus is heading in the right direction
3. Asking what something is in Japanese/Asking how to read something in Japanese
4. Asking someone to speak slowly/say something again
I received my undergraduate degree in the Japanese language, culture, and history. I also earned my Master's degree in K-12 education. I studied abroad at Nihon University in Tokyo as well as worked as an English teacher in Niigata, Japan. I was able to see what I learned firsthand
Homework Offered
Students will be given worksheets to print out after the class to reinforce their learning. Because this class meets once, this is optional and they have the choice to send their homework to me to look over. They will get a vocabulary list that goes over everything they have studied.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
I do not routinely give an assessment at the end of the class. However, if a student or parent would like an assessment, they may request one by emailing me.Grades Offered
Students will be emailed homework. I will use Kahoot as well, but they will get the Kahoot code from me.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
