Class Experience

Have you ever been to Japan and gotten stuck? Do you want to go to Japan, but are too scared because you don't know the language? Well, have no fear, this series will definitely help you. This course will bring you essential Japanese that you need to comfortably travel as well as provide you with some history and culture behind the words.

I really wish I'd had this series before I went to live in Japan. I was thrown into Japanese life without any help, not knowing what to say or how to respond to situations. I probably made many mistakes. But with this Japanese course, you won't be making the same mistakes that I did.

You will be able to:

Week 1:

1. Say basic greetings (Good morning, afternoon, evening)
2. Say goodbye (Did you know there are different ways to say goodbye based on your relationship?)
3. Know the correct way to address people
4. Know how to introduce yourself for the first time
5. Say thank you and your welcome (Did you know that there are many different ways to say thank you and your welcome based on the different situations?)

Week 2:
1. Say I'm sorry (Did you know there are different ways to say I'm sorry based on the situation?)
2. Ask for things close to you, close to someone else and far away from someone.
3. Tell someone they got you the wrong thing.
4. Ask where the bathroom and other places are.
5. Explain to others that you don't understand what they are saying.
6. Learn a magical word that can imply many things, including who, what, and where (just sign up to find out what this word is)

Week 3:

A. Get out of Jams
       1. Ask if English is okay/Ask if they can speak English
       2. Ask if a train or bus is heading in the right direction
       3. Ask what something is in Japanese/Ask how to read something in Japanese
       4. Ask someone to speak slowly/say something again
B. Function in a restaurant
       1. How to discuss and ask what food to order
       2. How to understand a server's greetings.
       3. How to ask for a recommendation for a restaurant
       4. How to say cheers
       5. What to say before and after you eat
       6. How to ask for the check

Week 4:

Function in Restaurant part 2
1. Say how many people are in your party
2. Say whether you want a smoking or non-smoking section.
3. Ask for recommendations
4. Ask for the check and explain whether it is separate or together
5. State how you want your food prepared

Week 5:

1. Learn how to count from 1-10,000
2. How to ask how much something is
3. How to ask to lower the price
4. Ask where a Manga cafe or internet cafe is
-Ask if this place has internet
    - Ask what the wifi and password are

Plus, as an extra bonus, I will throw in some interesting facts about the words you are learning called Sam's fun facts. Something that other courses probably won't mention

You will definitely not want to miss this class. You will be surprised, a little Japanese will take you a long way.
