Back-to-School Special! Use code LITTLEB2S15 for $15 coupon. Writing is an essential life skill that students will use in their everyday life. Students are expected to be able to make a claim and support it with details when we speak and write.

This course introduces essay writing to young writers. First, students review each aspect of the essay (introduction paragraph, thesis statement, body paragraphs, and conclusion) with video lessons, guided notes, and online educational games. Next, students will go through the writing process by brainstorming ideas for a persuasive prompt, creating a thesis statement, outlining supporting details, writing a rough draft, and editing/revising.

The teacher will review submitted work and Blooket scores and provide weekly progress report messages on Fridays (if work was completed).

The course should take about two weeks to complete.
