Students will learn the 'hamburger' paragraph method (topic sentence, supporting details, and closing sentence). Class 1: The Paragraph Students will be introduced to the structure of writing a paragraph. We will work on topic sentences, supporting details, and the closing sentence. Students will practice identifying the different parts in a paragraph. Students will select a prompt and submit their paragraph. PPT, examples, and graphic organizer templates will be uploaded for each session. Writing program or application to submit assignments (.doc, .docx, .pdf, .pages, .rtf, .txt, GoogleDocs, etc) or the assignments may be typed directly in the chatbox options. Images will not receive feedback (.jpg, .jpeg, .png, etc)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
