About the Teacher:
I am a certified teacher in various topics, which I teach on Outschool, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree and two Master’s degrees. I strive to align my classes with state standards and GED and ACT writing topics. I have taught essay writing as a certified teacher for over 9 years.

About this Class:
Each video lesson will cover an important aspect of essay writing, from paragraph structure, to essay layout and citations. I will also briefly cover sentence structure, making solid sentences, punctuation, and grammar basics that benefit essay writing. I will fully cover the structure and flow of the essay.

Each week, you will find linked documents needed to cover the lesson for the week. I provide notes, resources, and plenty of activities for you to use on the topic if needed. Students can find their weekly writing activity there. You will find a video lesson from me covering their topic for that week, but I also link extra videos for further coverage of topics.

Some weeks there will be two video lessons, depending on the topic covered. This is so they can spend time in those skills and topics before moving forward. Feel free to spend as much time per topic week as you need.

This is a self-paced, meaning there are no weekly live meetings. Each week contains one prerecorded video lessons for the students to access and weekly homework activities. It will also include a final writing topic for an essay. Because this is a writing class, students are strongly encouraged to submit a final essay in week 5 for feedback.

**Google Docs is required to receive teacher feedback and a grade. **

Teacher Feedback Expectations:
- Teacher will answer any general questions asked to me about the class or content, but most FAQ can be found in the Info Sheet posted in week one folder.

- Teacher will not grade work until they finish a complete essay. Students can submit a final essay to to be graded and get feedback on.
