*This Ongoing Course is set up to allow you to drop in and out or only take the areas you need help in* *You will be provided with actual written feedback on your writing if your learner submits their work* This course focuses on changing and creating new writing skills in preparation for everyday academic writing. The course focuses heavily on different academic writing genres, like research, argument, and synthesis. We will also be going over different main citation styles and the format and structural differences of each style. This course also goes over the fundamentals of a paper, so the student does not need a strong writing foundation prior to the class. This is a survey course, so each class can be treated independently! This course will prepare any student for the expectations of writing. Week of Jan 3. -What is academic writing?
