In this 4 week course, learners will discover and practice writing 5 paragraph essays at middle schoolers' level.

In this course, students will learn how to write an effective essay at the middle school level. They will learn steps needed in order to write a 5 parapragh I will structure the class by using screen shares of slides, showing students how to use sites for evidence in their persuasive writing and by discussion and Q & A. Highly certified English teacher with an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. I have taught English Language Arts to students in grades 7-12 and college freshman (essay, research and composition courses). I want students to develop the knowledge to go into depth about topics they're passionate about so they can become effective writers. I am also very passionate about grammar and instill in students how they can properly use their sentence structure, spelling and punctuation.
Homework Offered
Students will be writing a rough draft between sessions 5-7. Students will be writing their final essay between sessions 7-8. Student should spend up to 1-2 hours a week studying the concepts learned in class and preparing for class.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

There will informal assessment at the end of the course based on peer and teacher feedback.Grades Offered
