Essay Writing Skills for College Admission College admission essays can feel like a lot of pressure. This class will offer tips and essay examples to help your student craft a powerful and one-of-a-kind personal statement. In particular, how to brainstorm, outline and draft their essay. Essay writing tips will emphasize the importance of being concise, coherent, honest and accurate. Students will also learn tips on how to flex some intellectual muscle and include vivid details or anecdotes. The class will be structured to help student's with brainstorming their topic, learn how to outline their essay, draft their essay, and then proofread it. Students should come to the class with at least one college admission essay that they require assistance with. Class is structured such that students will leave with a copy of the 1st draft of their essay. If you don't see a time and date that suits your learner, please send me a message with requested dates/times. Private classes are also available upon request.
