This is an engaging 9-week writing workshop where students will explore three foundational writing genres: personal narrative, informative, and persuasive essays. Meeting twice a week, this course offers a step-by-step approach that guides students from brainstorming ideas to producing polished, well-organized essays.

The first three weeks focus on personal narratives, where students will write about meaningful experiences, learning to structure stories with vivid details and thoughtful reflections.

Weeks four through six shift to informative writing, where students will build their research and explanatory skills, creating essays that inform their audience.

Finally, in the last three weeks, students will develop persuasive essays, learning how to craft arguments, support claims with evidence, and use persuasive language effectively.

Through interactive lessons, feedback, and personalized teacher guidance, students will strengthen their writing skills, build confidence, and learn strategies for revising and editing their work.

By the end of the course, students will have a portfolio of writing that demonstrates their growth and mastery in each genre. This class is perfect for young writers eager to improve their ability to communicate ideas, share experiences, and argue convincingly!
