Description

Class Experience

This class will act as an introduction to writing a 5 paragraph essay. Students will start with creating an outline, work on introductions, draft body paragraphs, and then craft a strong conclusion. Each class will focus on a different aspect of the essay. This class will culminate in a fully-formed 5 paragraph essay based on a topic of the student's interest. Students will understand the basics of writing a 5-paragraph essay.

I am a veteran teacher with 5+ years of experience teaching writing at the middle and high school levels.

Students will need to write their assigned portions outside of class.

Students will need a word document software (Word or Google Docs).

Students will write a 5 paragraph essay over the course of the class.

2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
