US Grade 9 - 12
In this week-long course, students will learn how to write an essay from start to finish. Before taking this course, students must be able to write a paragraph independently. Any steps that are not completed during class will be assigned for homework. Nearpod will be used during live instruction and collaboration between students. Each student's work will be compiled in a Google Folder portfolio that they will retain access to and can use for future classes. Each session will begin with a live lesson on that step of the writing process. Students will work on their writing on Google Docs, through which the instructor will give real-time feedback. Monday: Writing prompt analysis/Prewriting Tuesday: Rough Draft Wednesday: Revising/Peer Review Thursday: Editing/Common Writing Formats Friday: Publishing Follow me on Outschool for more high school courses!
