Class Experience
While this class was designed as an extension of the Hamburger Paragraph course, if your learner has previous experience with writing, this will be a great fit! Each class will begin with a brief brain game or icebreaker. Students will learn one literary device and practice incorporating it in their paragraph. For example, if we are learning about hyperbole (extreme exaggeration), they will need to have a sentence that demonstrates this device in their paragraph. Prompts will be provided to...
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn how to develop strong paragraphs. Students will learn how to incorporate literary devices to improve their paragraphs. Students will learn how to write collaboratively.
Homework will not be assigned as work will be completed in class.

Verbal assessments will be provided in class related to content, structure, and grammar.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
