includedClass Experience
You have now learned the basics of Spanish, and you have started learning about sentence formations, verb conjugations, and you are having even more conversations in Spanish! It is, once again, time to take it to the next level! This course is the 2nd half of your Spanish 2 class. In this course, students will build upon what they already know about the Spanish Language and culture, and they will learn to be more independent and creative with their Spanish speaking. Students learned in Spanish 2a about conjugating simple verbs in the present and future tense. In this class, they will continue to practice this skill, as well as learn more verb tenses (past perfect and imperfect, etc.). Students will continue to learn how the Spanish language compares to the English language, and tips to help them remember vocabulary, grammatical rules, and phrases. It is my goal to make learning Spanish fun and exciting for the students, so we will implement games when appropriate to assist in learning and review. Worksheets, vocabulary lists, and other class materials will be provided by the teacher throughout the course. Students will learn by interacting with each other and the teacher as much as possible in the Spanish language. The teacher will speak in both English and Spanish throughout the class, increasing in Spanish instruction as the course progresses. By the end of this semesters, students will be able to have simple conversations amongst themselves in Spanish. Since this class meets once a week, Students will be responsible for practicing and studying their lessons between classes. It is extremely important that the students study and practice outside of the class in order to learn the Language. Vocabulary is very important, so students will be expected to practice their vocabulary lists given throughout the semester. The following class schedule is tentative, and subject to change if deemed necessary by the teacher: Lesson 1: Repaso, el cuerpo, y el pasado (review, the body, the past tense) lesson 2: Mi cuerpo y descripciones, y el preterito (my body and descriptions, and the past tense) lesson 3: La ropa (clothes) y el imperfecto lesson 4: La rutina diaria (daily routine), perfecto (present perfect tense lesson 5: los pasatiempos, pasado perfecto (hobbies and past perfect tense) lesson 6: Preguntas, ¿que hiciste?
