To ensure effective tutoring, the teacher suggests meeting 2x per week. Book additional recurring meetings after the initial purchase.

The student will quickly increase reading levels and will write in response to reading with clear arguments and supporting evidence, with a formal or informal tone, including research and facts, with linking words and phrases, and a strong conclusion.

I earned my TESOL(2019) and TEFL(2021) Certificates through VIPKid. I also hold a Teaching Certificate in special education. I taught reading, writing, and mathematics for 4 years. I taught at VIPKid for two years and enjoyed working with these children very much.

Homework
Frequency: 1-2 throughout the class
Feedback: as needed
Details: The student may be asked to read a chapter, or passage on their own, and will be given comprehension questions to check their understanding of the text/writing.
Before each class, including the first class, a written assignment must be turned in at least 24 hours prior to the class. Failure to submit writing assignments will result in the class being cancelled. 
Assessment
Frequency: 1 after class completion
Details: Informal assessments will be given often to measure the current level of the student.  Writing assessments and assignments must be turned in at least 24 hours prior to the start of the class. 

Students will be asked to find specific books at their school or local library. Purchasing books is not expected or required, but some parents choose to purchase books or ebooks.
