In this class, the students will learn new vocabulary words and practice speaking English by talking about different topics. The learners will discuss a weekly topic with other learners and the teacher. The learners will improve their English conversational skills through discussion. The best way to learn English is to practice speaking English. The learners will take turns talking about the topic. Each learner will be able to ask other students questions and answer questions that they are asked. The learners may bring something that represents each weekly topic to talk about. Weekly Topics: January 7: Favorite Books January 14: Pet or Pet you want to have January 21: Favorite Movie January 28: Favorite TV Show February 4: Favorite Vacation or Place to Visit February 11: Hobbies February 18: School Days February 25: Favorite Toys March 3: Crafts March 10: No Class March 17: No Class March 24: Inside Activities March 31: Outside Activities April 7: Desserts April 14: Foods April 21: Ordering at a Restaurant

I am a certified early childhood, elementary education, and reading specialist. I have been a teacher for over seventeen years. I have taught English as a second language for over six years. I love to use my degrees in psychology, history, political science, and biology to help students learn. I teach reading, ESL, history, and science classes. I think that students should have fun while learning. I love hockey and volunteering at the library and museum.
